I was honestly worried to take my boys here reading the reviews but I must say I was impressed. The check in app was helpful and eliminated wait time. Nikki greeted us and was great with my boys (ages 4 and 8). She did a fantastic job and boys loved it as well! We’ll definitely be going back!

Fist time in sports clips for me. Honestly was a bit overwhelmed at first. They were very busy and had a lot going on. The manager was super nice and made me feel right at home. Best haircut and beard trim I've ever had. Will def be telling my friends about it and coming back regularly.

Gave 1 star because I couldn’t give 0 star. Went to shop and checked in at 11:40. Board showed 4 people in front of me and said my wait time was 56 minutes. There was ZERO people in the shop. I said I would be back. Came back in 50 minutes. Still ZERO customers in the shop. Still 2 names in front of mine and said 22 minutes left!! I asked the ONE barber on the floor who was just standing there what the deal was. She said have a seat and we will be right with you and headed to the back room. I looked up and now it said 33 MINUTES for me!! Bout that time another barber came thru and the other one came out and said the other girl left early so she could get SNACKS for them!! Trust me, none of these girls need snacks. I then stood up and said I was leaving. A different barber came stomping out of the back and said she stopped her break early and would cut my hair then. I didn’t have a lot of confidence but gave in. She proceeded to give me the worst 2 on the side and 4 on top haircut in the 20 years I been going to Carbondale Sportsclips. If this is the lack of supervision going on here I will have to find another barber. There was at LEAST four barbers there and none showed any interest in doing their job.

It was my first time to even consider sport clips the carbondale Illinois establishment an I remember why I didn't come to these places the girl at the counter I guess the manager well she act like she was clarissa I recall he saying her name was did not only act like I was a nuisance for asking questions it being my first time an all not only was she rude an made me feel stupid her attitude was horrible I'm a firefighter an could of recomend other at my station but if there slogan is "haircut for guys " an treat people like that I'll take me hard earned money elsewhere I will not be back or recomend anyone

I am 18. I have NEVER thought about writing a review about service I have received. I have been a customer at Sports Clips for 8 years. I have never had a bad experience, and came in today with complete confidence. But today, Oct. 18th 2019, my experience, to be honest, was garbage, and I couldnt help but write a review. I am so upset right now, and i honestly feel bad for writing this. For starters the girl did not introduce herself to me, and did not shake my hand. Thats not a big deal, but its the first time its ever happened here, and it was off-putting. She asked me what i wanted, and i said "a 5 on the sides and maybe a half an inch off the top" she then asked how i style it and i said no particular way. She also asked if i liked it to be disconnected, and i said yes. So she just started going in on my dome. She said nothing the entire haircut. Not one word at all. I knew she was messing it up. She did not do anything like the other people do. She took way too long so i was already nervous. I couldnt see my hair because i had to take my glasses off, so i was blind. She gets done, and the first words she said to me are "I am sorry, i am a visual learner, so a picture would have helped me". I was baffled to be honest. Why would she say that. Like dude, ask me for a picture if you know you are a visual learner??!!!!? Dont just be quiet the whole time. She didnt say one word until she was done, and then thats what she says. I then proceed to show her a picture of me a few months ago, and she goes "OOHHHHH" and i was like wtf. The next words she says to me (also baffling) were "Sorry i think i took too much off, a little over an inch. In my opinion i had to do that in order for it to look good". I was like oh my god no way she just said that. I cannot believe it. The haircut is not even close to what i wanted. Unbelievable man.

Took my 14 year old son in for a trim. He tells the stylist he wants a trim, about an inch cut off. Pretty simple, right? Apparently not. She trimmed about a quarter of an inch off of the length of his bangs, neck, and around the ears. Then she thinned his hair. And this took an hour and a half. I have never been anywhere that didn't understand the meaning of a trim...or that took an hour and a half for a kid that normally takes 15-20 minutes. So, now he has a haircut that resembles Jim Carey in Dumb and Dumber, and I'll have to go elsewhere to get him a real haircut.
